The Tanglewood 4-H Camp and Learning Center  was established in 1982 as an affordable, environmentally-focused summer camp for Maine youth. Since that time it has become a learning and enrichment center where people of all ages can develop effective leadership skills, accept and celebrate diversity of culture, and gain a global perspective through local identity. Tanglewood is located in the Waldo county town of Lincolnville. Tanglewood is a partnership, between the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, and the dedicated volunteers that make-up the non-profit Tanglewood Camp and Learning Center Corporation.  All programs sponsored by Tanglewood are part of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension mission of helping people help themselves through research-based information.

The camp facility overlooks the Ducktrap River and is situated within a beautiful, secluded 830-acre forested section of the Camden Hills State Park. It consists of 45 rustic, historic wood frame buildings, including dining hall and kitchen, nature center, classrooms, sleeping cabins, wash buildings, and playing fields. Combination hiking and cross-country ski trails lead from the camp along watercourses and through woodlands.

Check out this new concept of new massage techniques. It's called the milking table and it involves back rubbing in combination with rubbing another body parts.

Learning the business skills and dealing with retail clients like the guys at gay pawn are doing? It's not simple.

Tanglewood offers a diverse range of year-round learning opportunities. You can explore these opportunities and learn more about Tanglewood by following the links, or contacting us by phone, mail, or email bkoster@umext.maine.edu
